Monica Escamilla is an editorial and commercial photographer based in New York.
Her interest in photography started young and mostly as a way to document the moments she didn’t want to forget.
When she’s not taking pictures, you can either find her on a run, walking with her husky, Rockie, or buying old toys at an antique shop :D
Her photographic work has been exhibited in the Virginia and DC area as well as internationally at the Tasmeem Artist Conference in Doha, Qatar. She has received several Virginia Press Awards for her work in editorial portraiture.
She was awarded the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts Fellowship in Photography and holds a Bachelor of Fine Art in Photography from Virginia Commonwealth University.
